Privacy
Passenger name, optional mobile number, journey route, passenger type, passenger count, date of journey and consent confirmation may be submitted through the QR flow.
Passenger submissions create a vehicle-linked journey record used for ride registration, vehicle verification, authorised operational review and safety-related record retrieval.
A protected first-party device identifier may be used to distinguish a returning traveller from a new traveller across journeys. It does not contain the passenger name or mobile number and is not used for advertising.
The passenger QR page is linked to the registered vehicle record. Driver and vehicle details shown to the passenger are limited to verification and ride registration needs.
The person submitting a journey confirms that the information is correct and that they may provide the passenger count for the people registered together. Independent passengers sharing a vehicle should submit separate entries.
Journey records are not displayed publicly or sold for advertising. Access is limited to authorised operational users and may be disclosed to lawful authorities or service personnel when required for safety, compliance or legal obligations.
Records are retained according to applicable contractual, legal, safety and operational requirements. Retention may vary by record type, and records are removed or anonymised when they are no longer required.
Sarathi Suvidha uses access controls, protected portal sessions, audit records and operational safeguards. No internet service can eliminate all risk, and security controls are reviewed as the service evolves.
To ask a privacy question or request correction of a submitted journey record, contact the Sarathi Suvidha helpdesk. Requests may require identity and journey verification.
